Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Yields: 6 Servings

A classic home-cooked dish with honey providing a sweet twist. A true crowd pleaser made easier than ever!

Directions:

  1. Place roast in center of a wide piece of heavy duty aluminum foil in a roasting pan. Bring foil up around sides of roast.
  2. Mix together onion soup and wine. Stir in tomato juice and honey. Blend and pour over roast. Add bay leaf.
  3. Wrap foil loosely around meat. Seal edges to form an air-tight package.
  4. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Bake pot roast 45 minutes per pound. Skim off fat if necessary before thickening meat juices for gravy.

Ingredients:

3½ to 4 pounds chuck, blade or other pot roast

½ package onion soup mix

3 tablespoons water

½ cup tomato juice

2 tablespoons honey

1 bay leaf
