Honey Cocoa

Yields: 2 Servings

This spiced hot cocoa combines cinnamon, honey and vanilla that’s sure to warm you up.

Directions:

  1. Combine cocoa, sugar, salt and spices. Add boiling water. Blend.
  2. Place over low heat, bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat. Cool.
  4. Add honey and vanilla. Store in covered jar in refrigerator until ready to use. Makes 2 ¼ cups.
  5. To serve: Heat ¼ cup Honey Cocoa Syrup with 2 cups of milk over low heat. Before serving, beat with rotary beater.

Ingredients:

1¼ cup cocoa

1 cup sugar

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup honey

1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1½ cups boiling water

2 teaspoons vanilla
